Hi! I'm Kim :) I'm a photographer based in New York City. I especially love photographing weddings, ever since I got married and became obsessed with the wedding world!

I love the feeling I get from great photographs — a rush of emotion, and a reminder of all the amazing and beautiful things in this world. My favorite photos, the ones I am really drawn to, are always lighthearted and full of glee. I'm really a kid at heart and love to play, and I love when that sense is captured in my photos!

Besides taking photos of people, I also love food photography (especially desserts... I'm addicted to chocolate!!)

Here are a couple of other random things about me...

My list of hobbies includes both knitting and playing rugby for the Village Lions :)

I'm married to my husband, my favorite person in the world!

I'm a software developer by day (my bio pic was taken by my coworker, Michael Jin).

I have taken photography and studio lighting classes at the International Center for Photography and Photomanhattan.

I am a gadget-a-holic! This applies to all kinds of gadgets -- baking supplies, my awesome iPod touch, and of course, all the latest camera equipment :)

I'm a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America).

NYC Photog Shootout

Photog Shootout is a really cool movement founded by Rob “Ninja” Nicholson that aims to bring photographers together to connect with each other, learn new things and have fun shootingI was lucky enough to attend the NYC shootout this past weekend, and I just wanted to share a few of my photos. It was a lot of fun!

Even though they’re a bit more glam than my usual style, I had a really good time with these photos. I think it’s good to break out of what you’re used to and flex some creative muscle now and then! I can’t wait to go to the next one!

Rachel & Teddy are Engaged!

Happy New Year!My first post of the year is a super cute *surprise* engagement session. Teddy arranged the whole session without Rachel knowing about it!

She was so surprised and excited for the shootWe met up in Central Park near the Bethesda Fountain.

Teddy asked me to bring along a dozen white roses. My friend Raj from Desiflora went above and beyond and created a beautiful bouquet of white roses and orchids for the occasion.

The Lake was totally frozen over! It was definitely cold out but it made for some pretty cool photos

We left Central Park and took a cab down to the 50’s to find the Love statue.

The statue is close to Rockefeller Center, so we headed over there to check it out as well.

Melinda & Damian – Anniversary

Melinda and Damian have been married for four years, and I love the fact that they have a tradition of getting anniversary portraits done! I think it is such a nice way to mark the year and create some memories. We had a fun time wandering on the High Line and in the meatpacking district of NYC.

It’s finally getting to be fall in NYC! Although the temperature doesn’t really feel like it yet… the trees are at least turning pretty colors

Sarah & David are Engaged!

Sarah, David and I had a lot of fun with this shoot… it began in Grand Central and ended up with cupcakes! Can’t go wrong with thatIt was actually Sarah’s birthday the day of the shoot, so the cupcakes were pretty much a necessity!

I loved her dress and shoes! Her dress was from Anthropologie, of course (where all adorable things originate).
