She was so surprised and excited for the shoot We met up in Central Park near the Bethesda Fountain.

Teddy asked me to bring along a dozen white roses. My friend Raj from Desiflora went above and beyond and created a beautiful bouquet of white roses and orchids for the occasion.

The Lake was totally frozen over! It was definitely cold out but it made for some pretty cool photos

We left Central Park and took a cab down to the 50′s to find the Love statue.

Found it!

The statue is close to Rockefeller Center, so we headed over there to check it out as well.

I loved her dress and shoes! Her dress was from Anthropologie, of course (where all adorable things originate).

They changed outfits and we ventured into the seedy underbelly of Grand Central to check out the actual trains

After that, we headed outside and wandered a bit around the Bryant Park area.

Can’t say no to the ice cream truck

I just LOVED the mood of the first photo, with the stillness of the water and the dock. What you don’t see is a bunch of people who were skinny dipping in the lake right nearby

At the beach on the lake, there was a really cute playground that we had some fun with!

After taking Susan Stripling‘s workshop (amazing amazing workshop), I have been experimenting with silhouettes! They are so dramatic and lovely. This sunset one is one of my favorites.

Jocelyn and Zach, thank you so much for being awesome models! I’m so glad you like the photos (and thanks again for the wine ) You guys rock!

It was so colorful and graphic! Heather had brought a few outfits for them both to change into, and I think these looked perfect with the colors of the wall

From there, we made our way to Central Park via the courtyard of the Plaza Hotel.

It’s amazing to me that these next two shots were taken about a block away from each other. NYC is full of such great juxtapositions.

This heart was carved into the Gapstow Bridge (also in the background above). Heather used to spend a lot of time sitting and reading on the bridge when she first came to NYC, so it was nice to include a place that was really special to her

Did I mention Heather’s costume changes? She is a total fashionista! I am in awe of those heels!

This was one of the last pics of the day. We couldn’t leave without including a horse-drawn carriage!

They’re getting married in the Dominican Republic, and I wish I could stow away in their luggage to go with them Congratulations Heather & Wellington! I had a great time with you guys, and I know you will have a beautiful wedding and marriage!
