Becca & Jake – New York, NY – Expecting

Becca and Jake may be the ones expecting a new family addition any day now, but their two dogs, John and Ella, really stole the show at our maternity session in Fort Tryon Park!

Yes, we actually did some maternity shots…

Although the dogs weren’t too happy about being tied up while we did them!

The light in Fort Tryon Park was perfect. I love sunset on the west side of Manhattan

Karine & Al – Stamford, CT – Expecting

Karine and Al are expecting a baby girl next month, and I was very excited to get the opportunity to document Karine’s pregnancy She looks amazing!

After the first part of our shoot, we headed to Greenwich, CT for Karine’s baby shower. There was some really nice light so obviously I pulled her aside for a few more photos

Check out this lady bug nail polish! I love it

Karine’s baby shower had a children’s book theme. It was really adorable and there were so many little details!

Nicklas – Austin, TX – Family Portraits

My husband and I recently took a trip to Austin, TX to visit our very dear friends Jen and Chuck and their new arrival, Nicklas! We had a great time and not only did we get our fill of adorable baby-ness, but we also ate some amazing Mexican food and authentic Texas BBQ (see the images at the bottom of the post ) Thanks to Jen and Chuck for hosting us and we can’t wait to see you guys again! xoxo

Anderson – Battery Park City – NYC Family Portraits

Anderson and his parents Alli and Chris came out to NYC for this session, and it was so much fun! I’m not exaggerating one bit when I say that this kid is a massive ball of energy! It’s pretty much to be expected when his parents are two amazing athletes. I had a great time capturing him running around playing.

Luckily we got a few family shots in before he started messing up his hair

Then, the exploring began!

He had a lot of fun with this huge pile of leaves.

I love their eyes in this next photo. Their whole family has amazing eyes!

Melinda & Damian – Anniversary

Melinda and Damian have been married for four years, and I love the fact that they have a tradition of getting anniversary portraits done! I think it is such a nice way to mark the year and create some memories. We had a fun time wandering on the High Line and in the meatpacking district of NYC.

I love the High Line and all of the grasses that blend together for lovely backgrounds

It’s finally getting to be fall in NYC! Although the temperature doesn’t really feel like it yet… the trees are at least turning pretty colors

Melinda and Damian have an *adorable* Maltese named Lenox. Such a cutie!!

…not to mention an awesome fashion accessory

Something about this photo I just love — you can tell how much they love each other by the way they hold hands

Could her scarf have been a more perfect color?!

Meg – Williamsburg

So, today is Meg’s birthday, and I decided it would be a good time to publish her photos! She and I headed over to to Williamsburg for a fun portrait session. This first shot is my favorite, love the soft colors!!

I got her to be serious for one shot

This was an extra fun shoot because Meg brought her dog, Shea, along with her! Shea is named after the one and only Shea Stadium… I have to say that Meg is one of the few people who rivals my husband for being the biggest Mets fan

What a cutie!!

Meg is definitely adventurous. She didn’t bat an eye getting up into this tree! I love how her dress looks against the texture of the tree

I had to get a good shot of her claddagh tattoo!

My Niece – 3 months

Allison – The High Line

The High Line is such an awesome location, I had to go back again immediately Allison and I had so much fun with this shoot, and the light was as beautiful as she was!

We were seriously awed by the gorgeous sunset.

LOVE the shoes Look at those heels! Wow.

Allison has the most gorgeous eyes!

I love these next couple of shots — bringing in a little bit of fashion

She brought along this really cool coat with a fur collar. Sooo perfect with her hair!

Jess – The High Line

The High Line is a pretty cool park — it used to be an elevated railroad, was abandoned, and now is converted into a public park. It’s a very cool background for photos, especially around sunset! I had a great time shooting the lovely and talented Jessica in the park.

One of the cool things about the High Line is that there is a great mix between the wild and weedy plants and the urban buildings and structure that surrounds them.

Loving silhouettes! The sunset gives such great colors.

Jess had these cool aviator glasses that we had to incorporate

Baby Riley – Brooklyn

I had a great time taking baby Riley’s photos! She had just turned 4 months when these were taken. She is sooo cute! Such a porcelain doll

We went out to take some family pics to take advantage of the nearby Brooklyn Bridge:

And some closer to home. The brownstones in Brooklyn are so textural and lovely.
